My stay at West Wind Inn had its ups and downs. While the access to the beach was fantastic for shelling and sunbathing, I encountered some cleanliness issues in my room, and the dated decor didn't quite match my expectations. However, the friendly staff and vibrant pool area, along with good dining experiences, made the trip enjoyable overall. 🌊😊

I was in a Gulf front room which offered a decent view, but it lacked privacy since it overlooked a walkway. The room itself felt outdated with a musty smell and some cleanliness issues like hair on the pillowcase and sink.

The location was perfect for direct beach access, allowing for fun morning and evening walks to hunt for shells. I also appreciated the free bikes to explore nearby Bowman Beach.

Dining at Normandie was a highlight, particularly the perfectly cooked salmon and delicious Key Lime pie. However, I wish breakfast started earlier to avoid the heat.

The pool area was vibrant and fun, but I did wish for more fresh amenities at the bar. The hotel grounds were well-preserved and inviting, enhancing the overall experience.

I had a wonderful stay at the West Wind Inn, greatly enjoying the clean and spacious room with direct beach access. The relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff made my experience even better. However, I did find the on-site restaurant a bit pricey and noticed that the rooms felt slightly outdated, which was just a minor drawback for me.

I had a good time at West Wind Inn, especially with the beautiful beach access and fun pool area. The rooms, while clean, definitely needed some updates, which was a bit disappointing considering the price. Plus, I expected more from the service, especially since we were celebrating a special occasion. Overall, I found it relaxing and enjoyed the scenic views, but there were some areas that could use improvement.

The king room had a nice view, but it felt cramped and could really use some updating. The cleanliness was on point, which I appreciated.

The staff was mostly friendly, but I felt like they were more focused on a couple at the bar than on the guests needing assistance. They were helpful when I had requests, though.
Location

The location was decent for beach access, but it was more secluded than I expected. I had to drive to find restaurants and shops.

My stay at West Wind Inn was relaxing but had its quirks. While the rooms were clean and had a nice little kitchen, they felt a bit dated, especially the bathroom. I loved the direct beach access and the staff were always friendly and helpful, but the beach itself was disappointing due to issues with red tide and debris. Overall, it made for a peaceful getaway, yet I found myself wishing for some updates around the hotel.

However, my experience was somewhat marred by a significant bug problem at the pool, which made it difficult for me to fully relax. The dining options were great, but the limited breakfast hours were a bit frustrating.
